2020 marks 25 years of teaching the guitar, bass guitar and piano for Matthew Phillips. Matthew's musical journey started in the 2nd grade when his class learned to play the recorder which then led to the clarinet in the school band. It was during this time that Matthew took notice of popular music. Musical artists like Duran Duran, Prince and Van Halen took Matt's attention from the clarinet to the guitar, bass and piano.
Matthew has performed in various bands in the Inland Empire area of Southern California and has independently released his own music. He is currently working on his third album of music and a series of instructional books for the guitar, bass and piano.
